When Cory was a baby...he hated to touch the grass.

Thankfully....I think he has overcome that feeling!!

And now CJ is the same way. He freaks when you sit him in the grass. Ive tried several times and he finally crawled in it the other night and was OK with it.

And hopefully he outgrows it too! lol

Soccer

For Easter, I always take Cory to the Cumberland Mall to see the Easter Bunny. There is never a line there and his pics are different than everyone elses since most people go to the Deptford Mall. I still have not scanned his pic with the bunny. He opted to have his pics done by himself instead of with CJ.

No matter what mall we are in, Cory just has to ride on something. Today he opted for a cruise with Kermit.

Corys first time ever dying Easter eggs. When I told him what we were going to do, he asked "Mommy, why are we going to kill the eggs?" He took dying as in to die...so I had to explain it to him. He did such a great job! We did boring ole colored eggs and then we did tye dyed eggs. His were the best!

The Easter Bunny brought Cory very little candy. He decided on Monster Trucks instead! Cory was thrilled. He saw those trucks and it didnt matter to him that he didnt get much candy. He got plenty on all of the Easter egg hunts he went on. We still have candy from Halloween and Valentines Day. He isnt a big candy eater....thank goodness for that!!!

But I dont want to get tubby time and a good night sleep. I want to stay outside all night :(

My sleepyhead. For the most part, he will take a nap up to 3 hrs if given a quiet place to do so. He loves his sleep. Slowly starting to fight off the naps now tho...

Starting already...usually at this age the boys hang out with boys and the girls with the girls. Not my Cory.....

He's a crawling machine. Been 3 wks since he has mastered crawling yet, thats not good enough. I bet he will be walking with in the next 2 wks. I keep reminding him that he's just a baby, but he isnt having it. He already is NOT listening to me. lol

This is the first year in MANY MANY years that we didnt have Thanksgiving at my moms. It was moved to my brothers. Nice change. Everything was really good! He deep fried the turkey which was yummy! Cory and Louie play so awesome together, its great to see cousins hanging out playing games and chasing each other around the house. Neither one care to pose when there is so many more fun things to do!

Preparing for Christmas this year was lots of fun. I learned of the "Elf on the Shelf" last year and purchased it for the boys and also as a family gift for a couple of my friends families. Im excited to start this tradition. I bought it early in November. Decided to introduce Cory to the Elf the weekend after Thanksgiving. We sat down and I read him the story and brought out the elf. He decided to name him "Angelo". And so the tradition begins. Every night after Cory went to bed, we would run to get Angelo and move him to another spot. It was as much fun for us and for Cory in the morning looking for him.
Meet Angelo....He was a definite hit with Cory for the season. Cant wait to see him and CJ next year race to get downstairs and see who finds him first!

Cory came down with the stomach bug. We had reservations for the Santa Express train ride on Sunday. He was feeling good so we decided to go. He was fine until the train pulled out of the station. All the sudden he was feeling like crap again. Too late, we were on our way. He didnt want to do anything but be held. Felt so bad, he wasnt even able to enjoy it. He wanted nothing to do with Santa. A little more than 1/2 way through the ride, he puked all over me....luckily it was all liquid and no solids so it wasnt real nasty!!!

Cory wasnt with us to pick out our tree this year:( We went to the Williamstown Fire Company and withing 5 minutes had our tree picked out. Chalie wanted a HUGE tree and I said NO WAY, im not getting on a ladder to decorate a tree. So we opted for the 6-7 footer which was still HUGE! It was the perfect tree for the perfect price! Decided on a silver and gold theme. But I was very partial to the silver! Just a tad of gold. It was beautiful!

At the firehouse, they were giving out kids fire hats. Cory loved his!

Awhile back, Chalie saw an advertisement that Handy Manny was premiering a new movie. So Chalie and Cory watched the movie with some popcorn. They both loved it. Once the movie premiered the website postd a new "Handy Manny Crane game" So Chalie and Cory decided to check it out. Chalie showed Cory how the game works. Now every night Cory asks if he can play. He doesnt need any help whatsoever. Once we get the laptop out, hes on his own. He mastered the game!

And while the big boys played on the computer, CJ was playing with the rocking/singing dog Mom Mom got for him. He loved it! Kept pressing the button to play it over and over and over and over again.

And then it was time to wrestle

My big boy on the computer all by himself. Loves his Handy Manny game. Challenging yet fun for him. Keeps him busy and he never gets tired of playing it.

Time for cereal and veggies....hes doing great!

And then came the veggies...started w/pees. He ate them successfully without gagging, just a couple funny faces...woohoo!

Merry Christmas! Santa sure did drop off a lot of gifts at our house! CJ opened up all his gifts and we exchanged, patiently waiting for Cory to come home! Mom Mom and Pop joined us. It was a great day for all!

And his little town mat....this keeps him mighty busy.

But I think the scooter was the biggest hit...along with the DS, his Hess Truck w/jet and the remote control quad Chalie got him, the train table that is still downstairs until we get time and space to clean out the playroom.

No Cory you can not play the DS while riding the scooter....lol

We went to Linvilla this weekend. It was the perfect weather, such a beautiful day. Sharon and Squirms came with us too so he really enjoyed having another child to hang out with. He had to feed all the animals. First the chickens, turkeys, peacocks, guinea hens. One kernel at a time....

Giddy Up...He actually said no to riding pony at first. Said he was scared which is VERY rare cause he has never been afraid of anything. He told me "mommy the pony bite me...." But once he saw all the other kids doing it, he changed his mind. He had a smile on his face the entire time.

My little spideyman...He never had his face painted before and picked Spiderman. It looked awesome! It took the lady 2 minutes to paint his face and he never moved.

And she even gave him webshooters....

And the finished product made him one happy camper! :)

Enjoying a hayride...by now he is fizzling out but we still have a ways to go. Not only to finish up Linvilla but parade later.
Childrens Garden was in the Monroe Twp Parade and Cory is representing "Sowing His Seed" along with many other kids in his school. He was not happy that all children were supposed to be flowers :( We made masks for everyone and decorated his wagon to look like part of a garden. He slept for about 45 mins on the way home from Linvilla and was so tired at the parade. He would NOT let me wash his face so he was still partially spiderman. None of the other boys would wear their flower masks along with the girls. It was a very nice night and he was such a good boy considering it was such a long eventful day.

Cory had a hard time deciding between Buzz Light Year or a Batman birthday party but Batman was his final decision. I asked him a couple weeks after his party, what do you want to be for Halloween. And first thing he said was Batman. I waited a week and asked again, still Batman. So Batman it is. I ordered the costume online and every day since it came in, he has to try it on. Too cute!

I bought this Alien costume a couple years ago and never used it. I came across it and as soon as Cory saw it he had to wear it.

I really cant believe Cory is 3. It feels like just yesterday he was born. He was such a great baby and so easy. Has transitioned into every new stage so smooth! From cradle/bassinet to crib, to eating solids, to giving up bink, to no more bottle, and now the most recent no more crib! He loves his new big boy room! He decided on John Deere tractors/big machines. He is doing wonderful sleeping in his big boy bed. Here is the pics he took of his room at the beginning stages. Now we just have to get some of it done!

Cory has become quite a repeater! You have to be so careful what you say in front of him. And if you say a bad word, he lets you know it! He will tell you soap in your mouth and a time out! I started calling him my little Parrot. The past few months I been working with Cory on counting, his ABC's, his name, address, birthday. Recently I asked him his name and he said Cory Matthew Parrot. I was hysterical! He also told me he didnt want to be 3, he wanted to be 2. I told him I dont want you to be 3 either, but neither of us have a choice:(
He couldnt decided between a Batman party or a Buzz Light Year. Finally he leaned more toward Batman so Holy Birthdays Batman!

School Time....

Cory started at Childrens Garden. He will be attending Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with Miss Tanoa. They have a great reputation there and im sure he is gonna love it! This is his second week and already he has had one field trip to Moods Farm. And 3 more scheduled for before year end. He has pictures next week. He has brought home several projects already. He enjoys going so im excited to see him learn and be in the school enviroment. The only issue is they require the kids to be potty trained and he is not. He goes when he feels like it. So right now we put a pull up on him and hope he makes it the 3 hours w/out any incidents. So far so good - fingers are crossed!

On our way to his first day of nursery school. I took off so I could be the one to take him and pick him up. He told me on the way "dont leave me Mommy" I told him Miss Tanoa says no mommy's can stay at school, its just for the kids. He said "just ask her, she will let you". It was so cute! When we got there, they had play-doh set up and he got right in there and was playing. I tried to sneek out but you cant pull a fast one on him. He said "mommy don't leave". I told him I had to go potty and snuck out. Felt so bad but I knew it was the only way for me to get out w/out him being upset.

On his first day when I went to pick him up, he cried when he saw me. But most of the kids were crying. It lasted about 15 seconds and then it was "mommy look what I made!" His first project to hang on the fridge. Now every day when he sees it he says, I made that!

Cory loves to take pictures w/the digital camera. So no more leaving it out! He has taken some of the BEST pics! This one is my favorite!

Where do I begin?!?! Cory has done alot of fun stuff over the summer! He would go to daycare a couple days a week and would stay home with me the other days. We did all kinds of fun stuff while I was off. Cory absolutely LOVES being a big brother! He hugs and kisses CJ all the time. He talks to him and tells him "hi im cory your big brother. Im gonna share my toys and teach you how to ride my tractor" So cute! He loves to help me with him. Wants to feed him, burp him, hold him and mostly hug and kiss him constantly!

Me and Cory were in CVS and he wanted candy. I saw this XL ring pop that was sour. Hoping that when he tried it he wouldnt like it but of course it back fired at 1st. He took a couple licks and the face was priceless. He would put it down and come back for more.

Cory has become quite the nose picker! He digs and digs for boogers. Right now just trying to stop him from putting them on things and atleast using a tissue once he gets the boogeys out. Hoping this stage passes real quick!

More and more he is starting to use the potty but still not enough to get rid of the diapers yet. Its when he feels like it. Cory's obsession....his John Deere tractor. Wants to ride every day, all day. The only thing lately that has a chance over him riding is his pool. But he usually opts for the tractor. He looks like such a big boy here....crazy what a collared shirt will do....My baby boy is growing up TOO FAST:( His vocabulary is off the charts. He will talk your ear off. Two words I would love to remove from his vocabulary "NO" and "WHY"...lol

Summer time...

Cory is loving being outside now that the weather is nice. Hes still all about his tractor and asks to ride as soon as he is up in the morning and again as soon as he walks in the door. He just loves to ride and ride and ride. Now that we have the backyard fenced in, he doesn't even want to take the tractor down to the court and ride on the hills there, he just wants to stay in the yard. Hes very content there. Him and Duce just like to beebop out there. He loves observing the frogs and bugs but he is always like "EWWWWW" when he sees them, yet he stands there staring at them! Too funny! I got him a pool and he absolutely loves it. Constantly gettin in and out and he dives back in. He has no fear of water, thats for sure. But he has experienced his first 2 fears which is new to him and me. First one being storms. A couple weeks ago we watched a thunder storm before it got dark out and he was fascinated. Atleast he seemed fascinated. That started the issues with him not wanting to go to sleep or waking up several times through the night and then he finally told me he is afraid of the storm. He still asks every night if a storm is coming....and then last week he started with being afraid of it getting dark out. He is in bed by 8 so its still light out when he goes to bed and the sun is already up when he wakes up so he doesnt see it dark out at all. But every night between asking about storms or getting dark...i convince him he is safe and he seems fine w/that - atleast for now. Its been a week since he has given me a hard time to go to bed and he hasnt woke up at all in the middle of the night so fingers are crossed!
He still asks for his DS once in awhile but its long gone. Someone elses child took it from him and we will never know who....but at 2 1/2 he really isnt ready for such an expensive toy when he has no idea what being responsible is. Later down the road, he will get another one but for now, he will have to get used to the idea that he no longer has his own DS. He now has a new game station for his playroom and loves to play video games here and there. Here he is taking a break from playing games after emptying all his toys outta the toy box in his play room - he decided to get in the toy box! lol

Doing arts and crafts on a rainy day....he loves to play with his playdoh!

Had a birthday party for Hunter at the Jump Zone. Cory had to sit in the birthday boys throne. He absolutely loved this play being able to go from activity to activity. But there was this little girl there that for some reason he was so mean to her. Every time I caught him near her, he would make her cry! Poor thing!

Spring is here...

Cory absolutely LOVES to be outside. His favorite thing is his tractor. I took him to Amys and her kids have it all. From golf cart, dune buggy, quads, tractors to horses. I thought he would be excited to be able to pet a horse and he could care less. All he wanted to do was ride on the lawn mower and once he saw all the other things to ride on, he went from one thing to the next! Loving every minute of it!

She also has her own little playground for the kids. He actually decided to give up the motorized things for a few minutes to check out the playground.

We were in Walgreens picking up his RX and he was such a good boy that I told him he could pick out a toy. One of the first things he picked up was a big rubber spider which I talked him out of.

Cory is growing so fast, I cant seem to keep up. All of the sudden his clothes are fitting a little small, pants are too short and sneakers kind of snug. He is really active and enjoys everything from watching tv, playing his DS, and especially being outside. Every time he goes out, its a fight to get him to come in.
This is his first visit to Chuckie Cheese. He loved it!

Cant wait until summer time for him to be able to swim. He LOVES the water! He looks forward to tubby time!

My cousin Johnny's son Jack was visiting from Florida on Valentine's Day so we got the boys together. What a day! Having three 2 yr olds together is ROUGH. Let me start by saying NONE of the 3 boys had naps that day! Cory was very teritorial with his own toys that he brought and with Jack's toys. Everything that everyone else was playing with he would try to take. He was not into sharing or taking turns which made for some unpleasant situations. He was a little bully! But all in all it was awesome to see them all together!

Cory the "LOVE BUG"...lol! Every time I talk to someone that has a child that goes to the same daycare AKA "school" as Cory, tells me their child loves to play with Cory and that he is always huggin and kissin on the older girls! He cracks me up. Better tame him down now before he is outta control. Cory continues to increase his vocabulary on a daily basis. He repeats EVERYTHING you say, so its time to be very cautious! He picked up on SHIT and damn a few times. But I already learned not to tell him they are bad words cause then he says them more. If I ignore him, he forgets about it and then eventually stops saying it. He is quite a charachter!
Cory has been doing his best to enjoy his tractor indoors due to the cold weather. But one day it wasnt so cold so he got to ride outside. What a sight to see! He rides like a race car driver! Amazing to watch him maneuver the quad and/or tractor at 2 yrs old.

At first he wanted no parts of going outside. But once the wind died down and we kept going out to clear a path for the dogs and to the cars, he had to get out there and check it out. And once he got out there, he put up a major fight to NOT have to go back in the house!

Cory is growing like crazy! Not just size wise, but verbally. Its absolutely amazing how far he has come along. He is still visiting with Gloucester County Speech at this time, but he has an evaluation coming up. He will no longer be eligible once they get a load of him now! LOL! He is talking more and more everyday and there aren't many words he won't try to say. He is pretty clear for the most part! He is paying more and more attention to the tv and when he is watching Dora or any cartoons that ask questions, he chimes right back. Its so cute! He still enjoys his tractor the best! He loves to ride it in the house and watch out when he gets outside! He rides like a champ! He also loves his trash truck! Its a bit big to be carrying around all the time but he does his best to lug it here and there! His favorite cartoons are Dora, Diego and Sesame Street. They hold his interest the most.

Cory is going through a stage where he does not want to get out of his jammies in the morning. He is so obsessed with certain charachter pjs. And its weird cause they are characters that he doesnt even know or watch. Like Barney, Spongebob, Scooby Doo and Transformers. But he prefers those jammies over any others. Hes till fitting in a size 2 T comfortably but jammies is about ready for a 3 T. He is wearing a size 6 shoe but not sure for how much longer. He hates getting his hair cut and it takes me some smart bribing at the right time to convince him to let me use the clippers. He wont let me near his ears and he doesn't like the back being touched. His hair needs to stay short size he doesn't like it brushed and when its longer it looks so messy. So short it is!

He is just getting over being sick. He started "school" (daycare but we call it school) Was planning on waiting till he was 3 but he needed to get around kids more. Other than being sick twice since starting, he is doin great with it. He loves the kids! And they love him there!

Christmas Day

On Christmas Eve when Santa was putting all of Cory's presents out, I told him that he needed to set them up right and give him all his jammies and clothes first cause if he opened some of his toys he was gonna want to play with them and not open anymore gifts. It worked out really well. He really enjoyed opening all of his presents. Then when he got to the toys I would tell him, open now - we'll play later, lets see what else Santa brought you. And he pretty much was OK with that! I got him this school bus ball pit since he has such a fascination with buses. What was I thinking? He loves to play in it, but along with that he loves to take ALL the balls out and throw them all over. And then Duce gets involved so now we have a huge mess! Duce has chewed on so many of the balls. But Cory is learning that he has to clean up his mess so now he is a little less likely to flip the bus over plus he doesn't want Duce to destroy all of his balls.

His favorite toys were his remote control crane, his trash truck from Aunt Alicia

Cory LOVES Diego and Dora. He was so excited to put his hat and gloves on. Not so much when its time to leave to go somewhere....

And his new Diego sun glasses....its all about Diego....

Here is Cory waiting patiently to see Santa at the mall. I geared him up all night the night before and all morning on Saturday before going in hopes that he wouldn't chicken out and cry like last year. When we got to the mall, there were about 20 kids in front of us. After awhile I let him out of his stroller and he was sooooo good. He stayed right there with me in line talking with the other kids and looking around. He got a chance to wave to Santa a few times while waiting in line and Santat waved back and it put such a smile on his face.

I was so afraid when he got close he was gonna break down! He shocked me! He was great! He told Santa HO HO HO! I want trucks, toys and CANDY! He smiled for his picture and off we went! I did bribe him a little! Cory - if you get your picture with Santa and tell him everything you want - you will get candy! So he got a new PEZ before I even had the pics printed out and paid for he had his hand out "candy mommy" LOL! It was worth it!

This year I decided to take Cory somewhere different that he has never been to. Instead of Duffields where everyone takes their kids, I tried Linvilla. Its Duffields times 6 in size. It was really awesome! We both loved it! When we first got there it was raining but that didn't stop him from playing on the playground....

Then he wanted to feed the chicks...no fear at all. Just put his hand right in there and let them peck away....

He really wanted to feed the goat but i could barely reach so he had to settle for watching him eat!

Then off to see bambi and her family. The deer are so friendly and not afraid of people at all. We were able to hand feed them and pet them. Too cute!

Cory loves amusement rides so I been wanting to take him to Ocean City Boardwalk. I finally got there on Saturday. He loved it! Of course we had to start on the choo choo. He ran from ride to ride, fearing NOTHING! He even wanted to ride on the log floom but he wasnt tall enough.

Cory got some play-doh for his birthday. On Saturday I decided we would do arts and crafts before his nap. He let me put his apron on and he went to town. He was a little skittish at the texture and it being on his hands but he forgot all about it once he got started! He tried each shape and each color. Next venture will be finger paints...

We decided to get Cory the next size quad for his birthday. The first day he had it, it was raining outside so my mom allowed him to ride it in her house. Definitely not enough room, he crashed into everything but loved every minute of it. Then when he was let loose outside, he rode like a professional. Amazing to watch him at "2" manuever this quad like he has been doing it for years. Not only in forward but in reverse also. He refuses to use the low gear, its just high and reverse. This picture looks like he's saying "come on Mom, take my picture - i want to ride!" LOL

Can someone please remind him that he is ONLY "2"!

There is a park in Blue Anchor that I spotted one day while driving. So i took him there. He loved it! The slides were humungous and the climbing wall had his name written all over it! This child fears NOTHING!

On Saturday I had Cory's 2nd Birthday Party w/all my friends and family. He had a great time playing w/all the kids. I did the party in a Thomas/Train theme since he is so obsessed anymore. He doesn't want to watch anything BUT choo choo's! Thanks to all who bought him some new dvd's cause the ones we have are played OVER AND OVER AND OVER again! He wore his Thomas outfit w/his conductor hat. We practiced the past couple weeks w/his train whistle and all of the sudden one day he got it. So then we started practicing blowing out the candles to be ready for his party!

Cory seeing everyone else ride on his mini/baby quad, he had to take a spin on it being that everyone else was. But nothing compares to his big boy quad that Mom Mom got for him.

Brigantine Beach

Stacie and I decided to take our boys to Brigantine Beach last week. She chose Brigantine since she lived there for a couple years. Cory took a nap on the way down...

Sure looks beautiful and inviting from the road!

We met around 10am and to the beach we went.

Cory and Cole were so cute playing together! Any time Cole dropped something, Cory was right there to pick it up for him.

Way to get down and dirty! This was a shocker for me to see him lay in the sand...most of the morning he kept looking at the sand on his hands but after awhile it didn't matter anymore.

Cory and Cole just hangin out keepin each other company! Me and Stacie were saying - think back 20 yrs, would u ever think this would be us on the beach w/our boys?!?! LOL! But its awesome! They will get to hang out and grow up together just like we did! And by this time, we all had enough of the green heads! They were absolutely HORRIBLE! I never had to bring bug spray to a beach....we lasted about 2-3 hrs and I had enough. We all were getting bit. Sorry Stacie but no more Brigantine for me! Back to OC or another shore where I don't get eaten alive!

Philadelphia Zoo

A long time friend of mine, Jennifer, that I used to work w/has an annual membership at the Philadelphia Zoo. We decided to get together there w/our kids and catch up. We met there when the doors opened at 9:30am. It was PERFECT! Not crowded one bit and we sure beat the heat! Everything is included in her membership except parking. So Cory was able to ride the carousel...

Then we went inside to get much closer to the animals in the petting zoo. They have brushes in a bucket to brush the animals. That didn't last long.

He decided he wanted to walk around and pet them and check them all out!

We had a wedding this weekend and I told Chris we needed to get some new pics of us and I have no pics of me w/Cory so that was my goal. They didn't turn out all that great - too much sun. You can't even tell if our eyes are open or not cause we are squinting. I just absolutely hate my pic taken anymore cause to me they always look horrible. But I decided to share anyway...The pics do not do my dress any justice. It looks like polka dots but IT'S NOT!

My little "Beach Bum"

Me and Chris took off on Wednesday and we decided to take Cory to Ocean City for the day. The only time Cory has ever been down the shore was when I took him for his 1st b-day pictures. So he never really got to enjoy the beach or the ocean. Here we are getting ready to head out. Even though he didn't really know what the beach was, he was still excited when we told him we were going.

I let him walk in the sand and it definitely slowed him up but he was a litle tough guy and trudged through it till we decided to set up shop. My girlfriend Lori, her kids and a couple of her friends met us down there so Cory would have some other children to play with. He got right down to business digging in the dirt. He was a bit skeptical when the sand was stuck all over his hands but we brought a little baby pool and filled it w/water. He would use the pool to rinse off his hands when need be.

He didn't really take to the ocean in the beginning. He normally loves water but Chris refused to give up and kept trying and finally he was ok with it.

July 4th weekend...

Me and Chris both had off on Friday since the 4th fell on Saturday. We made plans to take Cory to Story Book Land for the day. But somehow Cory's nap schedule got all messed up and by the time he got up it was late afternoon and it was't enough time to go there. So we opted for Clementon Park. Oh my goodness - never again! It was $8 to park. And the fee to get in is absurd. Luckily we had a buy one get one free coupon! Before even paying we asked how many rides Cory could get on w/his age and height and of course they added atleast 3 to the total to make us think it was worth it! He started on the Merry Go Round w/Chris.

After the merry go round, we headed off to kiddie land. Mind you, we were told 6 rides Cory would be able to go on at his age and height. Six was a bit exaggerated! More like 3 but he was tickled pink so it was fine. He just went on each a few times. He was all smiles!

And his favorite of course was the Choo Choo train! He gets so excited when he sees a train and does his "choo choo" w/his arms going a mile a minute!

He didn't meet the height requirement to ride the elephant unless an adult rode w/him. It went pretty high but he still enjoyed it.

This picture was taken as soon as we got to Janet's. Chris dressed Cory the same w/bandanna and sunglasses and both wearing red, white and blue.

On Saturday, the 4th we went to Aunt Janet's for a barbecue. We all had a good time, playing corn hole w/everyone. We left her house around 9ish in hopes to make it home for the fireworks. We didn't get to see the beginning but atleast Cory got to see some fireworks. He just stared - didn't say a peep. I think he was too exhausted to express anything. He was asleep 10 minutes later. Then on Sunday we all just bummed around. Took a ride to the mall and stopped over my parents for an hour. Nice peaceful weekend!

Carnival......

We took him to the St. Mary's carnival in Williamstown a couple weeks ago. We walked him pass the kiddie rides and he started pointing and getting excited. The guy measured his height and he just made it. So we put him on the cars. All by himself. He sat in the front seat with such a smile on his face. They strapped him in, the cars started going around in a circle and he stiffened up and looked a little scared. But after going around a few times he relaxed and started playing w/the steering wheel and pushing the buttons. It brough tears to my eyes...my little baby isn't such a baby anymore. We also tried the Merry Go Round. He picked the horse, I put him on it and stood right next to him. He was ready to get off before the ride stopped but he still liked it. And of course Im a bad mom cause I didn't even bring the camera w/me to get any pictures of Cory's first time on a ride:(

I finally found the perfect outside playhouse for Cory. He absolutely loves it! I couldn't get him to come in the house for dinner, he was too busy checking it out. The doorbell seems to be his favorite. It also has a phone but it needs new batteries. He went in right away and opened the shutters...

There are seats inside w/a sink. Of course he had to sit down and look around.

On Sunday we had a birthday party for Tracy's son Hunter at the Deptford Skating Rink. A private party, so Cory was able to run around the entire place. He spent most of his time in the arcade section sitting on all the driving games that had steering wheels. Then he spotted Thomas and got all excited yelling CHOO CHOO!

Whenever Cory goes over my Mom's he never makes it home in the same outfit that we send him in. He loves to get into everything and usually ends up wet since he loves water. My mom didn't have any spare clothes one day so she put on him whatever she had. When I saw him I laughed hysterical. He looked like a little raga muffin...

but still so so cute!

Cory loves to be outside! We finally got him a swingset. Me and Chris cleaned it up and put it together on Saturday. He likes the 2 slides and we just got him the swing. This is his first time on it. He loved it!

But as soon as Chris got the lawnmower out - nothing else mattered! He has to be on the mower w/Chris at all times. He even goes nuts when he hears one of the neighbors mowing their lawn.

And on rainy days he loves to vacuum, ride his rocket and just get into everything!

Cory LOVES books. He has his few favorites which are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, First Words/First Pics, Thomas the Tank Engine. BUT of course he doesn't let you read everything on the page before he wants to turn it for you. But he is getting better.

For Mothers Day, my Mom asked for me and my brother to do collages of our kids. I wanted to put a picture of Joe & Cory but only had one from when he was a baby. So I had Joe come over. Cory is not into smiling for the camera or sitting still long enough to catch him smiling. I took about 20 pics and not one with both him AND Joe looking at me. But here are a few...

Well I think we made a BIG mistake in introducing Cory to the lawnmower. He refused to get off once he got a taste of it. He sat on Chris's lap for almost 2 hours and didn't move or make a peep. He was so mesmirized.... I can just see it now, every time Chris mows the lawn Cory is going to want to be on the mower with him. Too cute! I thought maybe the loudness of it would deter him - NOPE not one iota!

Chris was off on Monday so he took Cory to get another haircut. He texted me to tell me wait until I see my son, he looks so cute. When I got home and saw him, it brought tears to my eyes. He looks like such a big boy! Even with a crew cut he is still gorgeous as ever! He is definitely my "LITTLE MAN"!

We took Cory to the mall on Monday night in hopes to get his picture taken w/the Easter Bunny. BUT he just was NOT having it! He shook hands, high fived, pounds but would not sit on her lap. He threw a fit. So we left w/out any pics. Chris wants to try again....I guess we'll soon see!

Every day Cory seems to come up with something new to do for entertaiment. He cracks me up! Have caught him in the act with some and had to share!
Everyone has hopes that their children will share. Well Cory has NO PROBLEM sharing at all. Especially when it comes to Duce. He tries to share EVERYTHING w/him. Food, drinks, toys..you name it! When we are upstairs, he loves to go in Duce's room and shut the door....and he actually CHOOSES to be in there....I swear we don't lock him in there - atleast not yet! LOL!

Last night his new thing was playing w/Duce's bowls. Thanks goodness he did it when it was empty. Check out his new hat. Reminds me of an amish boy...

And then when we went upstairs he disappeared. And this is where I found him - in Chris' shower!

Cory the MAULER...

Last night we had some company. Julie's friend Cathy from Indiana, her daughter Katie and Katie's son Eddie came over. At first Eddie wanted absolutely NOTHING to do w/Cory since he is so aggressive. But it didn't stop Cory from making many, many attempts to keep trying to hug & kiss him. Finally after an hour or so, they were buds and playing w/all Cory's toys. This is one of the first times that Cory had anyone at our house so I was very curious to see how he would react to another child playing w/his toys. And he actually was pretty good. He didn't really try and take anything that Eddie was playing with. He was just overwhelming w/his affection. Other than that they seemed to enjoy each other.

Chris also tried REALLY hard to befriend Eddie. He just wasnt having it. For a minute or 2 he sat in Chris's lap but he just wasn't having it long enough to take a picture.

I've come to the conclusion that Cory is just so overwhelmed and excited when he sees kids that he just can't hold himself back from wanting to hug & kiss them all. And the ones that are standoffish or shy are the ones he mauls even more. He just doesn't give up. So I have seen a few burst into tears due to his mauling. They are afraid because he becomes a bit aggressive in his approach. But he means no harm!

Here he is w/Leah. He is showing her where her nose is. He is all about telling everyone about the location of their nose, eyes, mouth, ears and he is learning more and more each week.

Poor Reid...Cory just wants to hug him and Reid is so afraid of him.

Yesterday we took Cory out in the snow for the first time. Poor thing...he had a really hard time walking in his snow boots but after standing still outside for 10 minutes taking it all in, he decided he wanted to try and venture out on his own. Only to fall face first into the snow. He didn't say a peep, I picked him up, dusted him off and he tried again. He just liked looking around and DID NOT want to go back in the house. Duce was running around like a lunatic. He really LOVES the snow.

Cory turned 17 months on the 4th...I still can't believe it! At this point Cory is still totally addicted to the tv. He LOVES his cartoons. But his newest passion is books. He loves to have someone read him a story or just flip through the pages. He doesn't always stay put long enough for you to read the entire book but he still does it over and over and over again. He is loving to give hugs and kisses which we LOVE! When he squeezes you, there is no better feeling in the world :) He is actually starting to let us know when he wants his diaper changed which cracks me up. He will either pull on the front of it or grab a diaper out of his stack on the changing table. I really don't think he is anywhere near ready to be potty trained but that is a good sign!
He enjoys taking a ride on Diego. Sometimes he brings bear and his blankie for a ride w/him.

My Little Man becomes more and more curious every day! He tries to do some of the funniest things. He did this when he was a baby but this time he was trying to get a toy from behind the changin table. While climbing on the shelf he seemed to enjoy being under there. Until he kept bangin his head...LOL!

He loves to sit in chairs now. He tried to climb in this chair by himself but he hasnt mastered the turning around part yet. Of course he doesn't sit long...

I took him over my girlfriend Lori's for a playdate. He found Ryan's sunglasses and had to put them on. He loved them! Then the camera batter died....BUMMER!

Last night I guess he got bored with pushing this dump truck around and putting things in it - that he decided he wanted to take a ride on it. He lifted up the dump part, and sat...it was so cute! He was so excited....

New Years Eve 2009 we decided to go out with Jim and Tracy to Knights Of Columbus. It was nice, we just wish more of our friends and family were there with us to celebarte. It was nice to get all dressed up and have somewhere to go. It was also Cory's first over nighter at Mom Mom's. He was up nice and early for her, at 6:30am.

On Friday we went to see Art, Stacie and Cole. Cory hasn't seen Cole since he was a few weeks old. He absolutely adored him. He couldn't stop hugging and kissing on him. See for yourself....

Funny thing this Bumbo used to be Cory's and he really wasn't happy being in it for more than 10 minutes at a time. But he sure felt the need to sit in it. He looks like a giant in it. And then he couldn't get out of it since he is really to big for it.

Me and the boys...I can't wait until they can really play together - like outside running around!

Aunt Stacie, Uncle Art and Cole got this Diego trike for Cory for Christmas. He cant quite reach the pedals yet but that doesn't stop him from getting on it and pushing himself around the house.
Every time I went to a store with toys and saw the Sit N Spin I couldn't wait until Cory was old enough to be able to play on it. We got it for him for Christmas. It didn't take him long at all to figure out how to spin around on it. Every day he gets on it and gets better and better at it. Its musical so he really enjoys it. He even tries to take his friends for rides.

Christmas morning Cory actually slept in till 7:30. Chris brought him down and he seemed very curious. None of what was under the tree was there when he went to bed the night before. And we had been practicing opening up gifts the entire week before to get him geered up.

He did great opening the first few gifts but once he found buttons and music it was all over and he was done.

After opening up gifts at our house, we went over to Mom Mom's & Pop's to exchange with them and have breakfast! It was like Santa stopped at 2 houses for all of us. We made out like bandits :) Then we headed out to Adam & Kim's for dinner. As soon as we got there, Cory had to vacuum....one of his favorite chores! Later on he stepped on the vacuum and broke it to the point where Adam had to toss it. Leave it to our son to already be destroying other kids toys....LOL!

We got him this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but he didn't get a chance to play with it yet. So when he saw Amber's he LOVED it! He carried Mickey and Minnie around with him.

He sure does love stuffed animals....he thinks he can carry them ALL at once but he has ENTIRELY too many! He hugs them all the time!

Cory saw this Rudolph stuffed animal one day when we were shopping so of course we had to get it for him. When you squeeze the ear his nose lights up and he plays music. Corys started off giving Rudolph "eskimo kisses" at first

Christmas Eve we had dinner at my Mom's with my brother and his family. Him and Louie are so funny together. Already wrestling around.

We went over Alicia's after dinner for her Open House. Santa was at her neighbors so we took Cory to see him one last time. He didn't cry but he didn't want to sit with him long either.

At 15 months its almost IMPOSSIBLE to get Cory to sit still. Pictures with him smiling are a definite challenge! We tried to take some pictures of him dressed in front on the Christmas tree. Ha - who are we kidding! Better luck next year! LOL!

Since we couldn't get him to sit on the floor in front of the tree, we decided to try putting him on a chair. He loves to sit on chairs now.

That worked for about 10 seconds....

I had a lot of preparing to do before we got our Christmas tree. I needed to condense Cory's toys and move furniture around. Cory and Duce were a big help! Cory vacuumed the floor for me over and over and over again while Duce attacked the vacuum cleaner. Cory just kept pushing it...

His changing table no longer has clothes and all on it. I made it more into a toy box. He has a nice little library going on....

Chris went out last Friday night to check out Christmas trees. He didn't come home with one. He went out again on Saturday in search of the "PERFECT" tree! And believe it or not he was back within a 1/2 hour. I told him before he left - NOT TOO BIG! We don't have the space with all Cory's toys and whatever Santa brings him. So the tree he brought home was perfect in every way! Of course Cory needed to feel the tree. Thank goodness he didn't like the way the pine needles felt and didn't touch it much after that first time!

Duce was VERY curious and wanted to see what Chris was doing under the tree.

And of course Cory needed to see what was going on. He wanted to know if there was anything he could do to help his Daddy get the tree ready for decorating! Chris and his boys....How bout we all water the tree together????

And the finished product....I think this will be the last year of the Eagles/Green & Silver theme. Its getting kind of boring....

He loves to press buttons...these penquins dance and sing. He sits on the floor and just keeps pressing the button over and over again.

We went to the Deptford Mall last weekend hoping to get Cory's picture on Santa's lap. We stood in line for about 15 minutes and he was fine through it all. Normally he is ok with strangers. The lady warned us to place him in Santa's lap and immediately move out of the way in case he cries. Chris did exactly that while I stood back with my camera hoping to catch a smile. NOPE - didn't happen! He lasted about 30 seconds, Santa looked down at him and he looked up at Santa and he started crying. I was able to snap one picture before he cried and the photographer got one too. No smile.....but here it is!

This year we did dinner with my family at my Mom's and then off to Aunt Janet's for dessert. It was a VERY nice day and night. I didn't get very many pictures of Cory but here are a few of him dressed up for the day. First Mom Mom made him an Indian...

Cory's new favorite toy and thing to do is vaccuum...everyday he pushes his vaccuum around the house. When I pull out the vaccuum he wants to help. He goes to mom mom's and he wants to vaccuum.....

After his afternoon nap, he loves to cuddle.... He will just lay with you and watch tv before he is ready to play. I enjoy this time with him since he doesn't sit still very often. I sure miss being able to hold him like a baby!

And his 2nd favorite toys are our cell phones and the remotes....

Mom Mom bought Cory this outfit. He is our litte "SPEED DEMON" racecar driver!

His 2 favorite things to carry around...in his left hand would be his blankie and the right hand his bear...They always have to be in his reach! And then of course his best buddy Duce in front!

Where is my blankie? OH I forgot about Elmo...he has to have Elmo on the couch with him at all times!

And now he can relax and watch cartoons!

Another day of vaccuuming in the Louis household....

This is Cory's Diego car...he pushes and rides on this several times a day. Most times he gets on backwards. He has learned to do wheelies and how to fall on his face now. But he continues to try and try again.

My Birthday

My birthday weekend was a blast. Started Friday night going to the Coastline with the girls. Eight of us went and we danced until 2am.

Saturday Aunt Monica stayed with Cory and Chris took me out to dinner and then to the Comedy Stop. The comedians were HILARIOUS! We were both laughing so hard we were crying and my jaws were hurting from laughing so much! Sunday we spent the day at my Mom's for my birthday for dinner with my family. Then Monday me and Chris went to the Jackson outlets to get started on our Christmas shopping. Of course we made out the best shopping for ourselves and for Cory. It was a very nice day trip. Tuesday me, Chris and Cory went shopping in Deptford for the day. And then Wednesday back to reality. Chris is finally going back to work on Monday. He is upset cause him and Cory been spending every single day together and now when he goes back to work, Cory will go to my Mom's.

Cory likes to wear his slippers around the house and here he is trying to put Daddy's slippers on his little piggies.

Cory sure knows how to make a mess....

Last night Cory was running around the house like crazy. He was diaperless (just a onesie) and loving it.

He is starting to enjoy sitting on the couch like a big boy watching tv with his blankie...He actually climbs up byhimself and covers his own piggies...

Me, Chris and Cory went to Toys R Us when costumes first came out and we saw this Pirate costume and Chris HAD TO HAVE IT! He looked so cute! Cory is obsessed with brushing his teeth. Always carrying his toothbrush around. We house hopped and he was a trooper through it all. Next year he will be able to TRICK OR TREAT - can't wait! Aunt Rainey stopped by just in time to see him.

Off to see the family...first stop at Aunt Alicia's.

This weekend we went to Alicia & Bills annual Halloween costume party. Me and Chris decided to do the Grease theme. Him being a T Bird and me a Pink Lady. Chris really fit the part of John Travolta to a "T"! Was a very funny site to see!

Kristina came over to the house to stay there while we went to the party. And Gabby, Brianna and Alex joined her. We came home to bodies everywhere...LOL!

I finally found a winter coat for Cory. It fits....Last year we didn't need a winter coat so this is his first time ever wearing anything more than a little jacket.

He didn't seem to mind the hat....

He loves to vaccuum now...its so cute! The vaccuum cleaner makes all kinds of sounds and sings and he bee bops around looking like he is really vaccuuming.

He got this toy for his birthay from Dave, Colleen, Brock & Paytin. Its magnetized and is for the fridge. It plays all kinds of music and stuff and he loves playing with it.
It sure helps to keep him out of the cabinets...

We all went to Camp Sun & Fun this past weekend. They had a Halloween walk thru for the kids. It was nice. Cory heard a plane while we were waiting for our tour guide to take us thru the cabins.

He has had Elmo for awhile now and never really played with him. But the past month or so he is ALWAYS tickling him and now absolutely LOVES him. Chris is always turning him off so he doesn't have to hear the laughing but Cory really enjoys it.

Cory loves to look out the window, the front and back door. He looks for squirrels, birds, bunnies, groundhogs, kitties or even a skunk.

We got this hat for him when we went to the zoo. Once in awhile he will walk around with it on but lately he takes off whatever we put on him.

We went over my girlfriend Amy's house this week. She just got a new horse "Hannah" for her daughter Rachel and Cory got to pet her. And he sat on the pony "Star". She has a nice farm with several horses & ponies on it. He enjoyed watching the animals and running around in her big yard!

First trip to the zoo..

We decided to take Cory to the zoo on Monday since I was off from work. It was a beautiful day! When he got up from him morning nap, we were packed up and ready to go. It was a bit crowded but not too bad. Cory really wasn't ready to visit the zoo. Between being in the stroller and not being able to see or to know where to look, it was more like a day outside for him to sight see. We walked the whole zoo and then went to Chickie & Pete's for lunch. A nice family day out! It was amazing how close you can get to some of the animals plus with the camera zoom...

This weekend was Amber's 2nd birthday party which was a GREAT party! The kids all went on hayrides to the pumpkin patch where they each picked a pumpkin to paint. It was a very nice party from beginning to end! The kids LOVED it! Cory and Brianna took the first hayride.

Cory visited the pumpkin patch to pick the one he wanted to paint!

And then back in the wagon to take the pumpkin back and wait for all the other kids.

Cory on the moon bounce slide. He was a bit unsure of what was going on. He slid down really really fast!

He seemed to enjoy the jumping part better even though he had a tough time walking around trying to keep his balance.

Duffields...

On Saturday me and Lori took the kids to Duffields. Cory was so excited to have Paige and Ryan in the backseat keeping him company during the ride. He had his first Hayride and picked his first pumpkin. He LOVED the hayride.

I decorated for fall and he absolutely loves this scarecrow. When its dark out, we plug it in and it lights up!

Each day Cory seems to amaze us! He is such a smart baby! I can't wait until he can actually talk to us. He is constantly babbling but not anything we can decipher... He is definitely like Chris when it comes to watching TV. Watch out and don't interupt! Here he is watching Yo GaBa GaBa...

Whenever Chris or Duce are outside, Cory is always looking out at them.

And if Chris is outside then Duce and Cory both are watching for him...

Chris insisted on having cake again for Cory on his actual birthday. GaGa, Aunt CaCa and Aunt Rainey came over. We all sang "Happy Birthday" and Cory got to dig in to his Elmo cake that GaGa brought over for him.

Milestones...

Cory has been "1" for a week today and already has reached MANY milestones... He is no longer drinking formula, no more bottles and no more pacifier! YIPEE! And he didn't have a problem giving any of them up! He is such a trooper and adjusts VERY well to change! He is starting to understand what you are telling him. For instance when I say "tubby time" he rushes to the bottom of the steps all excited knowing he is going to get in that tub and SPLASH until his heart is content. And then once we are finished bathing, I dress him and take him downstairs to have his last cup of milk for the night. Once he is finished, I say night night time and again he rushes to the steps. He doesn't want to crawl up the steps he wants to walk up them. I have to hold his hands. And every night Duce waits at the top step to give Cory encouragement and many many KISSES. They both get so excited once Cory gets to the top. Then Cory walks in his room, he pushes the button on his humidifier to turn it on and then I scoop him up and put him in his crib and off to sleep he goes.

He now has 3 teeth. Only one really noticable but each day I see more and more white creeping through. We took him to the Dr. the other day for his one year shots. He is 20lbs 9oz which Chris and I both were thinking he was going to be more like 24-25lbs. And he is 29" tall. Now that Cory is walking and that is all he wants to do, he pretty much has the roam of our downstairs. He loves to go to the front door and see what is going on outside and the back door if Duce is outside. He is barely eating any baby food anymore. He seems to like EVERYTHING we give him so far - KNOCK ON WOOD!

This past weekend I took Cory to the mall to buy him his 1st pair of sneakers. I went to StrideRight because they specialize in just kids. He got his feet measured and they showed me what my choices were. Not many for his size. And the prices were OUTRAGIOUS! BUT I know that he needs to have a light weight sneaker and I wanted to be sure they fit properly. So I bought the Stride Right brand sneaker. He looks like such a big boy walking with sneakers on. Of course I have to double knot them or he unties them and chews on the end of the shoelace. And when Chris found out I bought him Stride Right sneakers he had a fit. To him its like I bought his son bo bo's...LOL! Chris thinks he should be sporting Nike, Reebok or some big name brand. My concern was the fit, NOT THE NAME! So I am sure the next time Cory needs sneakers, Chris will make sure he is there!

Cory's 1st Birthday Party was on Sunday. He was absolutely wonderful, such a great sport. I would say his 1st b-day party was a success. We had a couple guest appearances by Barney, Elmo and Spongebob. They all stopped by to see the birthday boy. During breakfast I decided to put a birthday hat on Cory to see how he would handle it. It didn't phase him one bit. He never touched it or tried to take it off.

Here is Cory with Aunt Le Le and Reid. This is his cousin closest in age. I am sure they will be like Visce & Tim as they get older.

Mom Mom and Pop are out of control! Every time we go to their house, there are more and more toys! I think my Mom has a new addiction! Friday we spent a lot of time outside when I got home from work. We go for an hour walk a couple times a week and then hang out in the yard. He goes from his quad, to riding his car, then pushing his car to crawling. When he tries to crawl in the yard, he won't let his knees touch the ground. Me and Chris were both laughing saying that Cory is definitely Chris's son - afraid to get dirty.

Saturday we went to Adam & Kim's and watching him and Amber play together is so awesome. They started off in the little baby pool.

Then to the big pool. Cory loved the boogie board.

Then they were playing in Amber's house. Cory kissed his first girl. He picked up Amber's doll and kept kissing it. Amber was feeding Cory puffs. Too cute;)

He had to try everything of Amber's....Climbing on all furniture like a little monkey!

Cory is now walking more and more every day. One day it was a few steps and last night across the room. He gets so excited when trying to get to you....

We spent lots of time outside. Cory LOVES to be in the pool. We went back and forth from his little turtle baby pool to the big pool. My friend Lori handed a quad down to Cory. Its too cute. All he does is press the button and the quad goes. He cruises around the yard already and loves it.
